Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights)
- Float Requirement: Must float to other inpatient areas when home unit census is low
- Number of Openings: 2
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Adult Intensive Care Unit
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
- Patient Types: Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Substance Abuse Disorders, Endocrine Disorders, Psychiatric Disorders
- Equipment Used: Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
Work Environment & Culture
- Personality Fit: Team player, positive attitude, flexible, empathetic
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not allowed
Reporting & Orientation
- Reporting Location: Report to 3 East in Tower building
- Parking: Employee parking in designated yellow-lined spots
- Orientation: Includes completion of modules, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit orientation on the first day
This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity ICU setting with a diverse patient population, requiring strong critical care skills and flexibility.
