Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Evening, Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
- Work Settings: Adult Acute Care, Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Locals accepted: Yes
- First-time travelers: Not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT or AMRIT certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- International background check if lived outside the U.S. in the last 7 years
- Physical Exam: Must be current within 1 year, confirming good physical health
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant acceptable)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if titer low/equivocal
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if titer low/equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination form
- TB Screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility requirements
- Annual Fit Mask Test required (N95 or equivalent)
- Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 1)
- Color Blindness Test (Ishihara) required
Orientation & Training
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and acknowledgment required prior to start
- Stroke education and acknowledgment required if working at the facility for one year or longer
- Safety manual acknowledgment required
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Employment application/resume required
- Photo for badge: Clear headshot without visible nose piercing
