MRI Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM (4 days x 10 hours)
Call: Approximately every 3rd weekend (8 hours on Sat and Sun), 1 weekday, and 1 holiday per year

Job Description

• Operate Siemens MRI equipment; experience with Siemens MRI required
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles
• Call schedule based on department needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Prior travel technician experience required
• Current MRI Technologist certification (ARRT MR or ARMRIT) with license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must comply with licensing rules)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to start
• Current license/certificate verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% passing score)
• Health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history; no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA testing, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite)
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS within 90 days prior to start
• Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days prior to start and updated annually
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment and updated annually
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Notes

• Signed assignment agreement required upon onboarding
• May be required to work holidays (1 holiday per year)
• Must be able to meet all credentialing and onboarding requirements prior to start
• Travel experience is mandatory for this role

This position is suitable for MRI Technicians with solid Siemens MRI experience, prior travel assignments, and the ability to work a late afternoon to overnight shift with call responsibilities.
