Respiratory Therapist - Des Moines, Iowa

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x 12-hour night shifts)
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend required, no on-call duties

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS certification

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Current license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
• Fit Test
• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
• Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within the last year)
• Trinity-specific professional forms and agreements (code of conduct, confidentiality, integrity and audit services, conflict of interest disclosure, criminal background check, education verification, EPLS, GSA/OIG exclusions, Joint Commission testing, NSO, system access form)
• Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal (last 7 years), SSN verification, and Iowa-specific criminal history and abuse registries (must be within 30 days of start)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
• Immunizations and health history:

  • COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster or approved declination/exemption)
  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of initiation required before start)
  • Varicella (proof of vaccination or IgG titer)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
  • Tdap vaccine (current, non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
• Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended

Additional Notes

• All certifications and verifications must be uploaded with clear images including front and back of cards where applicable.
• Specialty skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
• All required documentation must be completed and uploaded prior to or at onboarding as specified.
