Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend work required
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references within the past year (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology test as applicable
• Facility-specific photo for badge
• Completion of onboarding modules prior to orientation
• Background checks must be current and updated annually; instant searches acceptable if pending before start date

Preferred Skills/Systems

• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is not required for PCU (only for ER).
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance required.

This position offers a night shift travel nursing opportunity in a PCU setting with a 13-week contract in South Carolina. It is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of experience, including first-time travel nurses.
