Job Description

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts using nursing processes and current best practices.
Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families.
Continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient condition.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to promote a healing environment.
Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in ongoing professional development.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Specific to Emergency Department nursing, including trauma care at level 2 or higher preferred.

Schedule

Day shift: 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
2 call shifts per 6-week period (13-hour shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour)
2-week night rotation required for all travelers
No block scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS certification
PALS certification
Experience with Epic
