Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; assess and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid Driver’s License

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Completion of specialty and pharmacology competency exams with minimum 80% score (max 2 attempts).
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% score.
• Color vision test completed and updated every 3 years.
• Health and immunization documentation including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (declinations accepted with mask requirement)
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start.
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days prior to start.
• Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days prior to start.
• Completion of onboarding attestations and training modules prior to or at start.
• Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no filters).

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and handle stressful situations.
• Coordination with multiple disciplines and discharge planning is a key responsibility.
• Personal protective equipment use is mandatory following standard precautions.

This position is a long-term assignment (approximately 13 weeks) for an RN specializing in Surgery, working day shift in Oklahoma.
