Registered Nurse – Critical Care
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Critical Care specialty for a 13-week long-term assignment.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid permanent RN license (no temporary licenses accepted). Primary Source Verification (PSV) and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Experience: Minimum years of experience in Critical Care specialty (not explicitly stated, assume standard for critical care RN).
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- NIHSS certification
- Health Requirements:
- MMR titers (positive within last 15 years) with booster protocol if low titer
- Varicella titers (positive within last 15 years) with booster protocol if low titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination form (agency form accepted)
- Tdap vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 2-Step TB test or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
- Fit test for N95 respirators completed within 1 year prior to start (specific mask models listed)
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions
- Influenza vaccine proof required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or completion of specific masking and declination forms if declining; medical exemptions require physician documentation
- Background and Verification:
- Criminal background check within 6 months including Social Security Trace, County searches, National Sex Offender, and National Database Criminal background check (FCRA compliant)
- Ohio fingerprinting requirements based on residency duration (5+ years or less than 5 years) with attestation allowed for pending results
- Employment verification for last 5 years through third-party verification (no attestations)
- Education verification through third-party (no attestations); international education requires equivalency documentation
- UHS I-9 attestation confirming eligibility to work
- UHS OIG exclusion search, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC clearance within 6 months prior to start
- Testing and Competency:
- UHS Competency Exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start
- UHS Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within 1 year prior to start with minimum 80% score
- UHS Skills Checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (clinical only)
- Drug Screening:
- 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start (no instant tests; lab report required)
- Additional Requirements:
- Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- UHS badge photo (headshot, shoulders up, plain background, JPEG format)
- Completion of “Non Employee Required Safety and Compliance Training” modules prior to clearance with certificate upload
- Submission packet including resume, 2 professional references (within last 2 years), job application, and employment history form
