Job Opportunity: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Nurse
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- May float to units with similar acuity levels.
- Focus on postpartum care with labor & delivery (L&D) experience required.
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- IV start skills.
- Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Additional Information

- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required annually.
- Background check results and fingerprinting must be clear prior to start; pending results require attestation.
- Candidates must review and sign dress code and hand hygiene policies.
- Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged annually.
- Candidates must complete required certifications and health documentation within specified timeframes prior to or shortly after start.
- Candidates may renew certain certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) onsite if needed.
Summary
This is a 13-week travel nursing contract for a Registered Nurse specializing in Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum nursing on night shifts in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires solid postpartum and labor & delivery experience, multiple certifications, and compliance with extensive background and health screening protocols. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
