Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology (Travel Position)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide echocardiology services including pediatric echos, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and carotid ultrasounds.
• Work independently in a hospital setting serving all age groups.
• Position includes day shifts with call responsibilities.

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week guaranteed.
• Call required 10 days per month, including evenings and weekends.
• Weekend shifts are 8-12 hours on call.

Facility & Unit Information

• 300-bed hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission.
• Equipment used includes Canon US, PHILLIPS ultrasound machines.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems: Meditech, Fuji PACS, Synapse.
• Department: Echocardiology, located on the 1st floor.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist within the last year.
• RDCS or RCS certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
• Dress code: Royal Blue or Red scrubs; no T-shirts or hoodies allowed.
• Professional demeanor required.

Patient Population

• Serves all ages, including pediatric and adult patients.

Call Requirements

• 10 days per month, including evenings and weekends.
