Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Travel RN position in Labor & Delivery at a 111-bed teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area.
- Night shift with 48 guaranteed hours per week and 48 weekend hours per month.
- No call requirements.
- Float to Mother/Baby unit required.
- Patient population: Adults.
- Unit volume: Approximately 110 deliveries per month.
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines.
- Electronic Health Records used: Centricity and Paragon.
Unit Profile
- Labor and Delivery Department with:
- 6 labor rooms
- 11 mother/baby rooms
- 3 triage beds
- Common diagnoses/treatments: Labor.
- Preferred experience: OR circulation, mother/baby, triage (preferred but not required).
- Personality fit: Flexibility and good communication skills.
- Dress code: Blue and blue/green scrubs; specific unacceptable attire not listed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Information
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel.
- Orientation dates available throughout the year.
- Facility is located in a region with recreational opportunities including golf courses, parks, and wine country.
- Conveniently located 3 hours from Seattle and Portland, 2 hours from Spokane, with direct flights from the local airport to major U.S. hubs.
