Description

Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) - Travel Position

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) by maintaining nursing practice standards and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Primary procedures involve open heart surgery; when unavailable, participate in other surgical specialties.
  • Work primarily Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Participate in emergency call rotation every third week for 7 days.
  • Must be willing to float to different units or hospitals as needed.
  • Patient-facing clinical role.
  • Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
  • Parking available.
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a CVOR Technologist.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

  • This is an on-site position (not remote).
  • Must be willing to float to other units or hospitals as needed.
  • Timesheet approver roles assigned but not relevant for candidate consideration.
