Description
Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Detroit, Michigan
Job Summary
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
- Operate CT equipment manually to obtain diagnostic images.
- Prepare procedure room and maintain supplies.
- Ensure radiation protection principles are followed (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
- Manage imaging workflow including PACS and RIS systems.
- Document all procedures in medical records and radiology information systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, demonstrating customer service excellence.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, flexible overnight hours)
- Total 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract length
Required Qualifications
- Completion of High School or attainment of a GED equivalent.
- Registered Technologist in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with CT certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- May work in hospital fixed unit or ambulatory mobile unit.
- Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; must use proper precautions.
- Possible exposure to contagious patients.
- Occasionally lift/move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
