Cath Lab Tech
Location
- Lexington, Kentucky
Contract
- 18 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- 10 hours per day
Job Summary
- Provides cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedure support.
- Performs patient care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill.
- Supports patient safety, procedural workflow, radiation safety, and quality control.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky.
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience).
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- ARRT (R).
- Associate's degree in Radiology or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS certification.
- Previous travel healthcare experience.
- Experience with coronary angiography, stent, Impella, IABP, laser, lithotripsy, OCT, IVUS, IFR/FFR, mechanical thrombectomy, temporary pacemaker, and peripheral interventions.
- Experience with multiple cath lab documentation and imaging systems.
Key Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist with implantation of permanent pacemakers and ICDs.
- Perform arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices.
- Manage complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, and cardiac tamponade.
- Apply aseptic technique and radiation safety principles.
- Use ALARA principles for exams.
- Perform and record quality control checks.
