Cath Lab Technician - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Job Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week, typically 06:00 - 16:30
- Call Requirements: Approximately 1-2 weekday night calls (17:00 - 06:00) and 1 weekend call per month (from 17:00 Friday to 06:00 Monday)
- Holidays covered by call as needed
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Certifications:
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- RCIS or ARRT certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Valid, unexpired Driver’s License or State ID matching address on file
Health and Safety Requirements (Must be completed prior to or at start)
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Optional; if declined during flu season, mask required at all times
- Tuberculosis Screening:
- 2-step PPD or Negative IGRA within 90 days of start
- If positive, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred before start, can be completed onsite
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually; includes testing for 12 specified substances with MRO review if applicable
Onboarding and Compliance
- Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment
- Completion of signed assignment agreement and onboarding education attestation
- Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80% passing score; updated every 3 years
- Skills checklist for specialty: Completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other required screenings within 90 days of start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Badge photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations or filters
This position is suited for experienced Cath Lab Technicians with required certifications and prior travel experience, able to work varied shifts including call and float as needed. Compliance with comprehensive health, safety, and credentialing requirements is mandatory.
