Cath Lab Technician - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Job Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, typically 06:00 - 16:30, varying weekly
- On-call: Approximately 1-2 weekday nights per week and 1 weekend per month (Friday 17:00 to Monday 06:00), plus holidays as needed
- May be required to float within skill set to other sites within 40 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification
- RCIS or ARRT certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Valid Driver's License
- Prior travel experience required
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references required before assignment
- Driver’s license or state ID (not expired, matching address requirements)
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% passing score)
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR: documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Tdap: valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (declinations accepted with mask requirement)
- TB testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual questionnaire required
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Background checks and verifications including:
- Criminal background check (7-year search including SSN trace, county, national, sex offender, OFAC, VSOP)
- EPLS check within 90 days of start
- Employment verification for past 7 years
- Education verification relevant to clinical work
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Ascension-specific onboarding documents and attestations including badge photo and signed assignment agreement
Additional Notes
- Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Some onboarding forms completed onsite and uploaded by facility
- Must comply with all facility policies and procedures related to patient care and safety
