Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Stuart, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician with additional Cath/EP experience preferred
  • Start Date: Next orientation available in approximately 3-4 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching hospital
  • Total Staffed Beds: 521
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Required Experience & Skills

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Florida
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • Cath/EP experience preferred
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ARRT certification required

Required Certifications & Licenses

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
  • 7-year criminal background check required within one year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no annual update required)
  • Physical exam within 6 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
  • Submission of all requested time-off (RTO) upfront with application; late requests likely denied
  • Two professional references required within 2 years of start date
  • Employment application and skills checklist must be completed and updated annually
  • Pass/fail testing (EKG/Pharmacology) during orientation applies only to RNs/LPNs (not applicable here)
  • Radiation badges issued by facility as applicable

Notes

  • Block scheduling is not accommodated
  • Pending licenses are not accepted
  • Candidates must be prepared to float to sister facilities as needed
  • Facility uses ceiling blue scrub color
