Description
Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp Position
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Summary
Perform a variety of imaging procedures at a technical level under general supervision. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, primarily x-ray, to capture physician-ordered images. Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients to ensure comfort and meet individual needs. Notify the physician on duty of imaging results.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of radiology technologist experience, including x-ray technician experience
- Radiology technologist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- ARRT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Operating room (OR) experience
Additional Information
- Dress code: matching scrubs
- Nonbillable initial hours: 12 hours
- Local traveler policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility
Key Responsibilities
- Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain accurate images
- Follow established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for imaging exams
- Maintain and operate all assigned imaging department equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients to foster comfort and confidence
This position is ideal for a radiologic technologist with solid x-ray and OR experience who is comfortable working in a travel assignment setting.
