Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 07:30 AM – 05:00 PM
Job Description
- Provide interventional radiology technical support in a hospital setting.
- Call schedule: Approximately 2 weekdays per week and every 3rd weekend (rotating holidays).
- May be required to float within skill set to other onsite locations or sites within 40 miles.
- Must have at least 1 year of hospital experience working with GE systems and EPIC.
- Prior travel experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin license for Interventional Radiology Technician.
- ARRT certification (preferred).
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience in the specialty.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license or state ID matching address on file.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
- License and certification verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with a minimum passing score.
- Health and immunization documentation including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
- Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history; no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite).
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual updates.
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment and annually thereafter.
- Background checks including criminal history, EPLS, and drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start and updated annually.
- Ascension-specific onboarding attestations and badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no filters).
Additional Notes
- Flu vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required.
- Some certifications and onboarding forms are completed onsite.
- Clinical skills checklist must be completed within one year of start and updated annually.
This position is ideal for a licensed Interventional Radiology Technician with hospital experience, prior travel assignments, and the ability to work flexible call schedules.
