Description
Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: Winchester, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Overview
- Behavioral Health unit with 12 beds
- Trauma Level II facility
- Patient population primarily geriatric
- Team nursing patient ratios
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Common diagnoses include dementia
- Float requirements as needed
Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Psychiatric/Behavioral Health
- Number of openings: 1
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend/as needed
- Call requirements: None
- Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience, including experience within the last year
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) prior to start
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous behavioral health experience
Additional Information
- Professional demeanor and personality fit required
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
