RN-Diagnostic Cardiology

Location

Detroit, Michigan

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

  • 8-hour day shifts
  • Shift times: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week

Role Summary

Provides nursing care for patients in a diagnostic cardiology setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, delegation, supervision, documentation, and patient/family teaching. The role also involves communicating patient information to the care team and helping resolve variances from patient goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Cardiology (2 years of experience)
  • Cardiology experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cardiac testing

Additional Job Details

  • Performs cardiac stress tests in a non-invasive cardiology lab
  • Expected to complete 4–8 stress tests per shift
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed, though the unit tries to accommodate requests
