Registered Nurse - CMH Neuro 8C

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, documentation, and continuous evaluation to ensure quality care and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all unit-specific nursing duties within the scope of service.
• Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to resolve issues.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Current Illinois state RN license in good standing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Work Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
