Description
Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Description
- Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with 16 beds, providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.
- High acuity environment requiring professional competency and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
- Focus on patient comfort, safety, and a pleasant experience.
Work Schedule & Requirements
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; guaranteed 36 hours.
- Every other weekend required.
- Holidays as required by the facility.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Solid navy scrub colors/dress code.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty within the last year.
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
