Registered Nurse (CVICU) - Travel Position

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) with 8 beds, providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients.
• Receives patients from Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac care.
• High acuity environment requiring professional competency and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Focus on patient comfort, safety, and positive experience.

Work Schedule & Environment

• 36 or 48 hours per week available; 36 hours guaranteed.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays as required.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.
• Parking available.
• This is a patient-facing, clinical position.
• Not a remote position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, with at least 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year.
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
