Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days with on-call (7 on/7 off)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: As needed (weekends as needed if called back in)


Job Summary

  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab providing scrub and monitoring support during procedures.
  • May assist with patient transport, workup, recovery, and stocking the department.
  • Serve patients of all ages.
  • Equipment used includes GE systems.
  • Facility is a 160-bed healthcare center with Level III Trauma Center status.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year.
  • Must hold BLS certification.
  • Must have RCIS certification or be a registered radiologic technologist (RT) with an appropriate degree.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have scrub and monitoring skills in the Cath Lab.
  • Preferred experience includes patient transport and assisting in workup and recovery.
  • Familiarity with procedures such as caths, pacemakers, permacaths, ports, and vascular leg cases.
  • Outgoing personality and strong team player.

Additional Information

  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
  • Facility provides scrubs; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not acceptable attire.
  • No float requirements.
  • Weekend hours and call are as needed.

Compliance

  • All clinical staff must complete state-specific background checks including the Tennessee Abuse Registry before starting.
