Description
Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Unit & Patient Population
- ICU unit on 2nd floor with 14 beds
- Medical ICU with minimal cardiac cases
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients, no charge nurse responsibilities
- Patient types include sepsis, respiratory issues, some cardiac and trauma cases
- Equipment occasionally includes Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Washington Suicide Prevention certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Team-oriented work environment emphasizing accountability and best practices
- Facility is a teaching hospital with a variety of services including ED, Family Medicine, Ortho, OBGYN, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Lab, and Diagnostic Imaging
- Located in a region with recreational opportunities including golf courses, parks, and wine country
