Physical Therapist (PT) Travel Job – Lynnwood, Washington
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Weekend Hours: Approximately once a month
- Number of Openings: 1
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients in a medical rehabilitation program
- Unit Size: 40 beds
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): EPIC, Rehab Connect
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Current BLS certification
Job Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and students as needed
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and recommend changes to physicians when necessary
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to policy
- Manage patient pain to optimize rehabilitation participation and function
- Maintain patient safety and reduce healthcare errors during care
- Document patient progress, goals, and updates in the interdisciplinary care plan
- Participate in patient/family and interdisciplinary team conferences
- Provide patient and family education tailored to learning needs
- Operate and maintain therapy equipment safely and maintain department cleanliness
- Collaborate with other departments for patient care and performance improvement
- Participate in staff orientation, in-service training, and performance improvement initiatives
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy laws and maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow organizational policies on ethics, safety, and professional conduct
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Dress code requires wearing black scrubs
- Report time on first day: between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM
- Patient diagnoses commonly treated include stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, and debility
- No call or float requirements
- Must demonstrate flexibility, organization, and ability to work under stress
- Expected to maintain professional growth and complete annual health, safety, and education requirements
