Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM EST
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Block scheduling available if weekends are included

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• BLS
• ARRT (CT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, and an Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiology
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to obtain training

Role Highlights

• Performs CT scans and may also perform general diagnostic radiology exams
• Administers intravenous contrast media, including use of power injectors
• Assists with sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Reviews clinical data, prepares patients, and documents in the medical record and radiology information system
• Works in a hospital setting or ambulatory mobile unit
• May transport patients to and from the emergency department

Working Conditions

• Possible exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
• May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
