Job Overview

• Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.
• May be in a charge role or precepting nearly every shift.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Charge roles

Preferred Education

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and prioritize care for complex situations
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Develop and update plans of care
• Support patient education and discharge planning
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as needed
• Promote safe, clean, and secure care environments
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and professional development
