RN - OB/GYN
Job Overview
- Location: Florence, Alabama
- Employment type: Travel
- Specialty area: Labor and Delivery
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 8 weeks
- Start timing: Must be able to start 7-10 days after offer acceptance
- Scheduling notes: Weekly orientation on Mondays; blocked scheduling available
- Float requirement: Postpartum
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- OB/GYN experience
- Post Partum experience
- BLS
- ACLS or ALS-OB
- NRP
- EFM
Clinical Experience
- Fetal monitoring and assessment
- Emergency response
- Postpartum care
- Time management
Unit Details
- Adult patient population
- 9-bed unit
- 1:1 patient ratio
Common Diagnoses / Cases
- Normal spontaneous labor
- Preterm labor
- Gestational hypertension
- Preeclampsia
- Placenta previa
- Placental abruption
- Fetal distress
- Umbilical cord prolapse
- Postpartum hemorrhage
Work Environment
- Adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, stamina, strong communication, and empathy are valued
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Non-compliant scrub colors, slogan/graphic scrubs, offensive content, and inappropriate footwear are not allowed
