Description
Travel ER Registered Nurse
Location
- Freeport, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 12-hour shifts
- Day and evening shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- TNS or TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Moderate sedation experience
Experience Preferences
- Flexibility to rotate start times
- First-time travelers are accepted
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend or as needed by the unit
- Holidays rotate with core staff and may be required
- No call or standby requirement
Unit Details
- Emergency department with 24 beds
- Non-trauma setting
- Stemi/Stroke ready
- Cath lab availability depends on day and time
- Average volume is 60–80 patients per day
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4–5
- Floating may be required to medical-surgical, telemetry, or ICU areas
- Solid-colored professional scrubs are required
