- Associate of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Description
Registered Nurse
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Unit Overview
- Cardio thoracic unit
- 70 beds
- Floating required to other general medical units
Schedule
- Shift times: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Holiday rotation required
- No call or standby requirement at this time
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- EKG interpretation
- Medication titration
- Ability to titrate drips
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS recommended
Clinical Experience / Skills
- Basic nursing skills
- Experience with patients such as MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery, esophagectomy, and general medical overflow
- Experience with titratable drips, especially Cardizem and heparin
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
- Drug screen required
- Submission requires the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
- Non-billable orientation: 12 hours
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- Scrubs: any color except children/cartoon prints
