RN - Med Surg
Job Overview
- Travel RN position in Ardmore, Oklahoma
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 3x12, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend schedule: Friday and Saturday nights
- Call: No routine call; may be required to come in if placed on standby for a scheduled shift
- Float: May float to other med/surg departments
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS from AHA only
- CPEN
- PALS
Unit Details
- Specialty: Med Surg
- Unit has 32 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 1:6, not guaranteed
- Patient population includes surgical patients and med/surg overflow, including ortho, bowel, urologic, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, dental, back, pneumonia, chest pain, and COPD cases
- Equipment includes remote telemetry monitored by ICU
Work Environment
- Team-oriented, flexible, friendly, and outgoing personality preferred
- Black scrubs required
