Cath Lab Manager

Overview

• Location: Holmdel, New Jersey
• Employment type: Clinical
• Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 5x8
• Work setting: No weekends, no holidays, no on-call

Role Summary

• Leads the Cath Lab and is responsible for efficient operations, patient throughput, staff performance, patient safety, policy adherence, quality/performance improvement, and risk management.
• Oversees Cath Lab utilization, first case starts, room turnover, and overall procedural flow and capacity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
• 3 years of critical care experience
• 3 years of clinical cardiology experience
• 3 years of perioperative experience
• Current endovascular/cardiac catheterization experience or equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Experience handling right heart catheterization procedures
• Experience handling left heart catheterization procedures
• Experience handling permanent pacemaker procedures
• Experience handling PCI procedures
• Experience handling loop recorder procedures
• Experience handling peripheral procedures
• Experience handling TEE procedures
• Experience handling permacath insertion procedures
• Experience handling fistulograms

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and daily team assignments
• Collaborates with Cath Lab leadership in daily operations
• Supervises patient flow across recovery and procedural areas
• Identifies and responds to shift problems
• Maintains processes that support Cath Lab utilization and procedural efficiency
• Monitors compliance with internal and external regulatory standards
• Ensures adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
• Creates and monitors unit-based indicators and supports outcomes-based practice
