Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Expectations

• Must be willing and able to float to Med Surg if ICU is closed for the shift
• Patient ratio may be 1:4, depending on patient status
• If floated to Med Surg, patient ratio may be 1:6

Unit Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• ICU has 4 beds
• Common diagnoses/treatments include DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure
• Equipment includes ventilator support, IABP, arterial lines, and CPAP

Compliance Requirements

• Complete and clear screenings are required before start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance is required
• Department of Human Services fingerprinting is required
• FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting is required if not completed within the last 2 years
• Pennsylvania State Police clearance is required
• Volunteer clearances are not accepted

Additional Notes

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
• Trauma level IV
