Cardiovascular Invasive Rad Tech 2
Overview
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Schedule: Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
Assist cardiologists with invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist experience with 3 years of experience
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience
- Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts
- Knowledge and competency in moderate sedation administration
- Knowledge of EP concepts and theory
- Knowledge of fluoroscopic anatomy and physiology
- Ability to recognize and assist in treatment of complications arising from cardiac/vascular/EP diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Ability to set up a sterile table with appropriate supplies specific to each procedure
- Knowledge of correct patient preparation and draping
- Knowledge of supplies specific to cardiac/vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Knowledge and ability to connect to appropriate physiologic monitoring equipment
- Knowledge of radiation safety and appropriate use and function of imaging equipment
- Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition, analysis, and interpretation
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation specific to device implantation and function
- Knowledge and recognition of Invasive Cardiology routines
- Proficiency in procedure setup
- Fluent English reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking
- Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser
- Multicultural sensitivity
- Associate's degree in a related field or certificate of completion for a radiology program
- IEMA (Illinois state) License in Rad Technology
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (R)
