CT Scan Technologist

Overview

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Specialty: CT scan technologist

Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Hours: 40 per week

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
CT Technologist experience within the last year
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program and high school diploma or equivalent
CAT SCAN experience

Experience

CT experience preferred: 6 months

Certification Timeline

ARRT (CT) certification required within 12 months of hire
BLS certification required within 3 months of hire

Schedule Notes

Every third weekend
Holidays as needed
No on-call

Key Responsibilities

Perform complex CT procedures
Review patient history and prepare documentation for imaging workflow
Prepare and screen contrast questionnaires
Administer contrast media as prescribed
Verify exam appropriateness and coordinate clarification when needed
Obtain outside studies and ensure they are available for comparison
Provide exam copies to patients and requesting providers
Evaluate radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value
Prepare patients for scanning and monitor for adverse reactions
Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
Lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and stand at least 6 hours per day
