RN - Oncology Outpatient

Location

Raleigh, North Carolina

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
No weekends, holidays, or on-call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Oncology experience within the last year
2 years of oncology experience
Experience in an outpatient setting
Infusion experience
Chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions administration
Blood product administration
Port lab draws and injections

Preferred Education

BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients with complex needs in an outpatient oncology infusion setting
Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV iron, fluids, electrolytes, port lab draws, and injections
Perform patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, and point-of-care testing
Provide patient and family education and emotional support
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and support unit goals and quality improvement activities
