Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process
Complete patient assessments and develop care plans
Document nursing care and patient education
Administer medications using the 5 Rights
Delegate and follow up on assigned patient care tasks
Support patient safety measures, including fall, pressure ulcer, isolation, and ambulation precautions
Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team
Manage admissions, discharges, rounding, and patient flow
Respond promptly to patient call lights and patient needs
