RN Med Surg
Location
- Waco, Texas
Job Type
- Long-term assignment
- 13 weeks
- Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Role Summary
- Provides direct nursing care
- Implements and monitors patient care plans
- Records and communicates patient condition
- Coordinates care across disciplines
- Carries out physician and nursing orders
- Assists with discharge planning
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Driver's License
Required Certifications
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIH Certification

- Specialty exam with passing score of at least 80%
- Core competencies assessment with passing score of at least 80%
