Job Overview

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Charleston, South Carolina
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Hours: 40 per week
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes

Schedule & Assignment Details

• On-call is required: 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager’s discretion
• Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis within 60 miles
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and is subject to facility needs
• The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in South Carolina
• Radiation Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (R) or SCRQSA (R)
• Cath Lab Technologist experience
• Radiation badge required; agency must provide the badge

Preferred Qualifications

• CCI with RCIS or RCES
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab
• EP experience

Clinical Experience

• Experience with pediatric/adult transplant, R/L biopsy, balloon, stent, and valve placement
• IR experience is also part of the case mix, preferably pediatric

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Complete application/resume
• Skills checklist for the applicable unit
• Annual background check
• Education verification
• Primary source license verification
• Nursys verification, if applicable
• Fit test within 90 days of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu documentation or approved exemption for the current flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination if not vaccinated
• Color blind testing
• Orientation modules and first-day instructions must be completed before start
• Radiation exposure attestation is required for roles needing a radiation badge

Additional Notes

• EPIC is the preferred charting system
• Parking requires a one-time $20 pass for nights and weekends
• Travelers should be aware they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season
