Nuclear Medicine Tech

Job Overview

  • Location: Charleston, South Carolina
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day, 5x8 hours
  • Start times: 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM
  • End times: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekend requirement: Saturdays as needed for PET/CT scans
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: Not required
  • First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in South Carolina
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NMTCB(N) or ARRT (N)
  • NMTCB(CT) or ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT)
  • Siemens equipment/scanner experience
  • Radiation badge must be provided by the agency

Work Environment

  • Teaching hospital
  • Magnet hospital
  • Level 1 trauma center
  • 865 staffed beds

Additional Notes

  • No holidays
  • Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within 60 miles
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application
  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Scrub color: teal top and black pants
  • Parking is available nights and weekends for a one-time $20 pass
  • Epic is used for charting
