Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Every third weekend required
No holidays required
No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
2 years of experience working in Cardiovascular ICU
CVICU experience within the last year
Stepdown/surgical nursing experience
Thoracic nursing experience
Vascular stepdown nursing experience
LVAD competency
Telemetry experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Telemetry Certification

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
Assess patient needs and prioritize care
Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
Manage patient care
Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery

Additional Details

Float to other ICUs
Experience with balloon pump, CCRT, ECMO devices, cardiac outputs, SWAN, chest tubes, and post-cardiac surgery patients
Strong open-heart background
