RN 3S Comp-Med Stepdown
Location
Cincinnati, Ohio
Contract
13 weeks
Schedule
- 3x12 nights
- Up to every other weekend
Unit Overview
- Medical-surgical stepdown unit
- Cares for patients with acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, CHF, and other low-risk cardiac/chest pain diagnoses
- Provides cardiac monitoring and general medical care across multiple specialties
- Staff receive training in non-invasive positive pressure ventilation
- Unit provides infusion therapy, transfusions, injections, and central line care
- Dedicated stroke unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Telemetry experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH stroke scale certification
- Leadership experience such as Charge RN or Preceptor
Education
- Diploma of Nursing
Additional Notes
- All RNs on the unit are NIH stroke scale certified
