Sonographer
Location
- Morristown, New Jersey
Schedule
- Thursday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Echo Technologist experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- ARDMS or CCI
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Proficiency in valvular assessment
- Strong spectral Doppler skills
- Pedoff skills
- Experience with agitated saline studies
- Experience using Philips ie33 systems
- Experience using Epiq systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program
- TEE experience
- Stress echo experience
- Familiarity with 3D echo imaging
- Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols
- Familiarity with Philips ie33 and Epiq systems
- Familiarity with Epic hospital information system
Job Duties
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and explain procedures clearly
- Perform ultrasound procedures and monitor patients during the process
- Set up equipment for procedures
- Review prior reports, images, and patient charts
- Confirm appropriate images and complete studies
- Notify the reader when needed
- Maintain exam records and logs
- Manage inventory and supply purchases for the assigned area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
