- Meadville, Pennsylvania
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour evening or night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- 2 years of emergency department experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
Job Details
- Emergency department with 19 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No floating
- Traveler is not required to serve as charge nurse
- Floor-specific orientation: 24 hours
Clinical Environment
- Common patient types include chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric, altered mental status, stroke, and trauma
- Approximately 100 patients per day
- Nurse aides are available
- Respiratory therapy is available 24/7
- Pharmacy is available 24/7
- Vents are managed by respiratory therapy
- Telemetry monitoring is used
- Drips include propofol, levophed, heparin, nitro, insulin, and Cardizem
Additional Notes
- Hospital-issued scrubs are currently required due to COVID-19; navy scrubs will be used when personal scrubs are allowed again
- TNCC is recommended
- Meditech is used for charting
