Description
Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Jackson, Michigan
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM EST
- Every other weekend required
- No call required
- Block scheduling available if it includes weekends
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Performs computerized tomographic radiological procedures under general supervision
- May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
- Explains procedures to patients, prepares patients, reviews clinical data, obtains additional history as needed, operates CT equipment, administers IV contrast, monitors for reactions, assists with sterile procedures and biopsies, applies radiation protection principles, manages PACS/RIS documentation, and supports clinical and billing documentation
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, and an Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiology
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Peripheral IV insertion experience or willingness to obtain training
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS
Work Environment
- May work in a hospital with a fixed unit or in an ambulatory mobile unit
- May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients
- May occasionally lift or move equipment and/or patients over 10 lbs
