NICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Washington, DC
- 16-week assignment
- Start dates: 8/17 or 9/14
- 36 hours per week
- Day or night 12-hour rotating shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Locals accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Recent Tracheostomy and Ventilator experience
Work Setting
- NICU in a teaching Level I trauma center
- Float to other critical care units as needed
- May care for patients of any age
- Ratios vary by acuity, most commonly 1:2
Additional Notes
- No more than 7 days of requested time off
- Missed shifts must be made up within the same week
- Photo required after contract signature
- Scrubs: any color, no logos, child-friendly
- Charting system: Cerner
- Background check and several health/compliance documents are required before start
