Role Summary
- Acute care hospital respiratory therapist role covering ICU, ED, medical-surgical, and NICU if experienced.
- The setting is a Level II trauma center with three ICUs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- Respiratory Therapist experience
- 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
Preferred / Helpful
- PALS if possible
- NRP if NICU experience
- Experience in ICU, ED, medical-surgical, or NICU
Compliance / Onboarding
- Drug screen within the last 12 months
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- TB screening documentation required
- COVID vaccine series preferred; if not provided, a facility-specific declination is used
- Flu vaccination required during flu season unless an approved exemption is obtained
- Annual skills checklist
- Annual competency requirements may apply
- Photo for badge
- Confidentiality agreement and other facility policy acknowledgements required before start
