MRI Technologist
Location
New York, New York
Contract
9 weeks
Schedule
Varied shift; Tuesday through Friday 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in New York
- MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of MRI experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures
- Position patients and coils for optimal imaging
- Review patient safety questionnaires before MRI scans
- Ensure images are labeled, evaluated for technical acceptability, and transmitted to PACS
- Complete studies and patient tracking in the radiology information system
- Maintain room and equipment cleanliness and report unsafe conditions or needed repairs
- Provide patient education related to the procedure
- Follow safety and infection control protocols
